Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, CMHC, LMFT SUDC) Full/Part-Time
Overview:
This person is a mental health professional for Jordan West Family Counseling. 
Directly Reports to – Clinical Director
Qualifications:

  • Holds an advanced degree and appropriate licensure in the field of social work, psychology or counseling.  LCSW; CMHC; or LMFT
  • Minimum of 1 years of direct, clinical experience required in a community mental health setting. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of provision of direct clinical supervision in a community mental health setting. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, dedication to and passion for the mental health field.
  • Experienced working in a fast paced, complex, multifaceted organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, crisis intervention, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Must possess a sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all clinical consult team meetings, clinical team meetings, all-staff meetings and any other clinical meeting as deemed necessary.
  • Participates in and successfully completes required Dept. of Human Services training.
  • Contact referred clients to assess treatment adherence.
  • Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity.
  • Provide clients with education regarding their mental health condition and treatment.
  • Maintain clients information.
  • Maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical records of all clients contacted.
  • Routinely staffs cases with the referring clinical staff.
  • Performs case management functions.
  • Responsible for the application of social work procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment and evidenced-based therapies, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders using the following skills: individual, family and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
  • Consults with medical personnel, legal authorities, insurance companies and school districts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and current notes in electronic medical records of all clients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
